Brighton/Bristol

We've been without the interweb for several days. Time to play catch up...

Komedia was the scene of our second show. A cafe on top, the club in the basement, and not quite sure what's on the top level. Oh, and a gourmet burger place next door, somewhat reminiscent of The counter in Santa Monica. Their production crew was extremely nice and helped us load in gear. The surrounding area was very cool: cobblestone roads, quaint lil' shops, and lanterns strung across overhead. A few of us walked to a music stored called "GAK". Short for Guitars Amps Keyboards.

We were finally able to catch all of Loney, Dear and The Boy Least Likely To's entire sets. Emil of Loney, Dear has such an amazing voice. Almost like a male version of Bjork and ridiculously hypnotic. Not to mention all the players in the band are super talented. The Boy Least Likely To are quite infectious. You find yourself walking away humming riffs and vocal melodies.

our beloved tour manager, johnny mac.

Off to Bristol...

Unfortunately, we were in such a rush we were unable to snap any photos of the place. But I'll say this, we've never seen so many staircases in a club. It was like chutes and ladders navigating oneself around. A main and side stage, where it looked like the main was under construction. It was a great sounding room from on and off stage and all bands sounded gi-normous. One funny thing to note is that they place those giant metal barriers in front of the stage. I'm assuming they have a lot of punk shows or something. Either way, it was funny having a bit of a divide given the natureof the bands playing. haha. The crowd was was great, asking for "one more, one more" upon completing the set. thank you so
much.

as mentioned before, no pix, so we did a lil ms paint rendition of the club
.

and a post-show acoustic practice for an upcoming xfm session.
