Nottingham

A bit of a scary drive today. A major storm hit England with a cyclone off the coast somewhere, so we encountered some heavy winds. Tall vehicles were just getting bullied around on the motorways. Several motorways on our route to Nottingham were closed due to accidents so we had to take backroads and alternate paths. Thanks goodness for nav sats. We pretty much listened to the weather reports all day so we would know what's to come.

I managed to get pic of an HGV that was blown on its side. Unfortunately, the shutter didn't open all the way...






Due to the closed motorways the 3 hour drive turned into a 6 hour endeavor. Alas, we braved it through the elements, with Johnny leading the charge of course, and made it to Nottingham somewhat in one piece.
