What Teams Can Win the NFC East?

The NFC East has been brutal the past couple of seasons as they have struggled to have a competitive team do well. However, this upcoming season looks a little different so today we are going to dive into all four NFC East teams and discuss which teams have a realistic chance to win the division and get a guaranteed home playoff game.

NASCAR season is in full throttle, and one of my favorite events is looking at some of the Coca Cola 600 predictions. Make some money that way and get it going so we can have some extra cash to wager on here.

Dallas Cowboys (+105)

The Dallas Cowboys did not get better during the offseason as they lost a few major pieces in wide receiver Amari Cooper and linebacker Randy Gregory. Quarterback Dak Prescott is another year removed from his leg injury and should be better here, but both sides of the ball got a little weaker.

Dallas has games against Philadelphia (x2), New York (x2), Washington (x2), Chicago, Detroit, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, Houston, Cincinnati, Green Bay, Minnesota, Los Angeles Rams, Jacksonville, and Tennessee. Without diving into their record as the order matters as well, there are seven games where I can definitively say they should win. They won the NFC East last season and should be able to, but I do not like the odds being essentially even to win the division.

Philadelphia Eagles (+230)

This is the team I am predicting wins the NFC East this upcoming season. Jalen Hurts had some playoff experience last season, and the team traded for wide receiver AJ Brown as well as drafting some solid defensive players in Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean. The roster improved and should be able to continue to build on a relationship between Hurts and DeVonta Smith to make it even better offensively.

Philly faces off against Dallas (x2), Washington (x2), New York (x2), New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Minnesota, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Houston, Detroit, and Chicago. They have a tough schedule, but this team is talented and should be able to walk away with 10-11 wins this season. All in all, go with the Philadelphia Eagles +230 to win the NFC East.

Washington Commanders (+475)

The Washington Commanders have a name and hope to have a quarterback as Carson Wentz rejoins the division after a year with the Indianapolis Colts. This defense is still incredible and needs to apply pressure as they have a better-than-average quarterback and some weapons offensively.  Running backs Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic in the backfield with guys like tight end Logan Thomas and wide receivers Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and Jahan Dotson out wide should provide some sparks and score enough for Ron Rivera to coach to a win with his experience.

Their schedule looks like Dallas (x2), Philadelphia (x2), New York (x2), Atlanta, Cleveland, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Minnesota, Green Bay, San Francisco, Indianapolis, Houston, Detroit, and Chicago. The Commanders have the chance to be a sneaky team that competes for the division crown, so that will be interesting, so sprinkle some cheddar here.

New York Giants (+650)

The New York Giants are in the first season of a new regime with a new head coach and general manager, so this is a tough team to expect to make that huge leap. This is a prove-it year for Daniel Jones as he has protection with Evan Neal and attacked the defense as they drafted linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux in the first round of the draft. They need some better play from their wide receivers here to avoid another disappointing year.

The Giants have Dallas (x2), Washington (x2), Philadelphia (x2), Green Bay, Jacksonville, Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Tennessee, Baltimore, Carolina, and Seattle on the schedule. This seems like a tough season for this team with a new voice leading the way so avoid this wager as of right now.
